A new direction for the Brooklyn waterfront
Adolfo joined forces with the Economic Development Corporation while he was Deputy Mayor to launch the redesign of the Brooklyn Marine Terminal - a 122-acre stretch of Brooklyn’s waterfront.
It will become a critical hub on the city’s Blue Highways waterborne freight network, connecting multiple sites along New York City’s Harbor of the Future.
New Library and Affordable Housing coming to the Grand Concourse in The Bronx
As part of New York City’s Living Libraries program, the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and The New York Public Library (NYPL) joined forces under Adolfo Carrion’s guidance as former commissioner of HPD to reimagine the Grand Concourse Library into The Heartwood.
This development will provide approximately 113 affordable, rent stabilized homes atop the new-and-improved local library.
The library will include state-of-the-art reading space, updated technology, and a variety of multipurpose meeting rooms and study areas for residents of the West Bronx.
